I have a Web Log!

Yes, it's true, I made a blog.  Go ahead, call me a hypocrite.  Get it out of your system.
.....

Ah, that was nice.  So, here's the deal.  As most of you know, I just finished my degree program at Moss Landing Marine Labs, and am now an official Master of Marine Science**.  And what was the first thing I did after handing in my manuscript to CSUMB?  Get a Job?  No.  Apply for a PhD?  Nope.  I booked a ticket out of the country!  I'm heading down under to the great lost continent of Australia for some adventure, volunteering, diving, manuscript-writing, and maybe even some relaxation.

To put it mildly, I'm not the "blogger type", just as I am not the "dear diary" type or the "lolcat" type.  However, I do love sharing my research and travel experiences with friends and family, so instead of lugging around my usual hardcover travel journal, I'll try out this online version!  Let's just call this an "Online Travel Journal", and leave the blogging to the pseudo-professionals.  ;)

So stay tuned for more interesting posts from me at this site.  I'll use this site to check in with y'all, share photos, and update my itinerary, as I go.

Thanks a bazillion to Lesley, who showed me the travel blog light!
